One of the things I love most, travelling and at home, is watching sunrises and sunsets. For me most special are sunrises at sea. I love the dreamtime between dark and the first rays of light. That magical moment when it’s just me and my dogs at the beach waiting for the sun to appear. A new day to come and everything seems possible.

My favorite place in The Netherlands for sunrise watching is Vlieland, an island in the Waddenzee. I spend as much time as possible on this little island.
